Garwood is a small borough in Union County that makes a large amount of DWI arrests throughout the year. North Plainfield Disorderly Conduct Arrest

This past weekend North Plainfield Police arrested a male teenager who was so intoxicated that he needed to be rescued by police and firefighters who took him down from a residential roof around 4 a.m. in the morning. After being rescued from the roof, the teenager was charged with trespassing and a disorderly persons offense for all the trouble he caused. This past week, a brother and sister were charged and arrested for disorderly conduct and the brother was charged additionally with a third degree resisting arrest. The arrests came in connection of a police investigation of a fight in the roadway on the 600 block of Sherman Avenue. New Cyberbullying Law in Full Force

Today the Union County Prosecutor's Office announced that they had their first successful juvenile prosecution involving New Jersey's newly enacted cyber bullying law. The juvenile defendant, a 15 year old Hillside teenager, was sentenced to a year of probation as a result of pleading guilty to a single count of 4th degree cyber harassment.
