Streets of Elizabeth Turn Deadly

The streets of Elizabeth turned deadly this week when two men were found dead from fatal shooting within just 30 minutes of each other. It is unclear at this time if the shootings are related. At least one of the men appears to have been shot at close range with a handgun which is indicative of a premeditated "hit".

Union County Sheriff Fugitive Unit Catches Wanted Man

The Union County Sheriff’s Fugitive Unit recently apprehended a man who has been on the run since last Christmas. The fugitive was wanted for allegedly stabbing a Union resident a few days before Christmas after a card game went seriously wrong. The kicker is that, according to reports, the victim was actually the man's friend and was letting the suspect live with him for several months leading up to the incident because the suspect was previously homeless. String of Robberies Leads to Robbery Charges in Union County NJ

There has been a string of robberies throughout Union County in recent weeks. In the latest incident, two robbers hit service stations in Hillside and Union Township in a span of just six hours. In both recent attacks, the robbers wore hooded sweatshirts, one black and the other red or pink and came up behind the victims and grabbed them by the neck.
